Boston officially confirmed that Jayson Tatum tore his Achilles in Game 4 and underwent surgery yesterday. Expect an emotional push early from the Celtics, but they may not have the legs to sustain it. New York, notorious for waiting until the fourth quarter to crush dreams, would be wise to take control early.

Golden State, again without Stephen Curry, hasn’t figured out how to replace his scoring. Jimmy Butler will try to set the tone early, but Minnesota’s size in the paint is making every basket a grind. It may be time to start thinking about next season for the Warriors’ Curry/Butler show
