Twofer Thursday & Early Friday

We only get one day off before Game 4 of the NBA Finals, but that doesn’t mean you can’t jump into one of today’s early Pick 5 contests. While we wait for basketball to return, we have two compelling baseball matchups on national television, featured in both Pick 10 and Pick 5 formats.

The Giants and Yankees are both eyeing sweeps, while Colorado and Kansas City look to salvage a game before new weekend series kick off tomorrow.

  • New York Yankees @ Kansas City Royals – MLB Network

🎯 Pick 10 (3:10pm ET/12:10pm PT)

⚾ San Francisco @ Colorado

The Giants’ offense has struggled over the past month, but their recent late-game rallies in Colorado show they still have fight. Back-to-back comeback wins starting in the 8th and 9th innings are exciting—but hardly sustainable.

On paper, San Francisco has the edge with rookie Hayden Birdsong taking the mound against Antonio Senzatela, who enters with a 6.68 ERA. However, Birdsong will face a unique test pitching in Denver’s thin air, and Senzatela’s inflated ERA may be due more to poor play around him than solely poor command.

The Rockies’ bats have woken up in June after a dismal May, which could spell trouble for an inexperienced starter on the road.

  1. Hayden Birdsong – Over/Under 5.5 hit allowed
  2. Jung Hoo Lee – Over/Under 1.5 hits
  3. Mike Yastrzemski – Over/Under 0.5 strikeouts
  4. Antonio Senzatela – Over/Under 1.5 walks allowed
  5. Kyle Farmer – Over/Under 1.5 hits+runs+RBIs
  6. Ryan McMahon – Over/Under 0.5 runs

⚾ New York Yankees @ Kansas City

This pitching matchup won’t steal headlines, but Aaron Judge might—he’s homered in each of the last two games.

Seth Lugo brings a solid 3.46 ERA but doesn’t strike out many batters. On the other hand, Will Warren averages more than 1.3 strikeouts per inning but comes in with a 5.34 ERA. If the Yankees give him early run support, he could settle in and pitch deeper. If not, expect a short outing where he hits the showers by the 5th inning.

  1. Aaron Judge – Over/Under 2.5 hits+runs+RBIs
  2. Cody Bellinger – Over/Under 0.5 strikeouts
  3. Seth Lugo – Over/Under 4.5 strikeouts
  4. Bobby Witt Jr. – Over/Under 0.5 runs

🏆 Pick 5 Margin (8:30pm ET/5:30pm PT Friday)

🏀 Oklahoma City @ Indiana

More to come on this game tomorrow, but here’s a quick teaser: Indiana now leads 2–1 in a series many thought Oklahoma City would dominate in 4 or 5 games.

The Pacers’ bench shifted the momentum in Game 3, ramping up the pace and feeding off the home crowd’s energy. Meanwhile, OKC is surely revisiting Game 4 of their second-round series—when they trailed 2–1 to Denver—as a blueprint for their comeback.

As one ESPN analyst said last night, “The team that wins Game 4 will win the Finals.” Stakes couldn’t be higher.

  1. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – Points
  2. Chet Holmgren – Rebounds
  3. Tyrese Haliburton – Assists
  4. Pascal Siakam – Points
  5. Myles Turner – Rebounds
