Coast to Coast
We move from the Atlantic to the Pacific tonight, crossing the country from sweltering New York to always-beautiful San Diego. A critical NL East matchup kicks things off as the Atlanta Braves look to climb back into the playoff picture, while the New York Mets try to right the ship. Then we head out west for the young upstart Washington Nationals against the San Diego Padres, as SD tries to keep pace with the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants in the NL West.

⚾ Atlanta @ NY Mets
The New York Mets have lost nine of their last ten and now trail the Philadelphia Phillies by 1.5 games. They’ll be hoping for a turnaround tonight, but their starting pitcher, Frankie Montas, is making his first start of the year after a stint on the IL. Montas has declined in performance over the past few years and now faces Spencer Strider, a solid strikeout pitcher in the league. In their matchup last week, Strider recorded 8 strikeouts over 6 innings. Expect Francisco Lindor, Brandon Nimmo, and Juan Soto to get on base, but Strider’s dominance will likely keep the run totals low.
- Spencer Strider – Over/Under 6.5 strikeouts
- Ronald Acuña Jr. – Over/Under 2.5 hits+runs+RBIs
- Austin Riley – Over/Under 0.5 runs
- Pete Alonso – Over/Under 1.5 hits+runs+RBIs
- Francisco Lindor – Over/Under 1.5 hits+runs+RBIs
- Juan Soto – Over/Under 0.5 runs

After a thrilling 10–6 win for the Washington Nationals last night, we move to Game 2 tonight. The Nationals send Trevor Williams to the mound, a pitcher who typically allows more hits than innings pitched despite a low walk rate. Luis Arraez has the best track record against him, holding a 1.032 OPS in prior matchups. Meanwhile, the Padres’ rookie right-hander, Ryan Bergert, is making just his 5th start. He doesn’t give up many hits but tends to walk batters, averaging over a couple per outing. For the Nats offense James Wood powered last night’s win, going 3-for-5 with a home run and three runs. He is hoping to stay hot after a cool weekend in LA against the Dodger.
- Trevor Williams – Over/Under 5.5 hits allowed
- CJ Abrams – Over/Under 0.5 runs
- Ryan Bergert – Over/Under 1.5 walks allowed
- Manny Machado – Over/Under 0.5 strikeouts
